Tricia Montgomery founded K9 Fit Club® in 2012. Now serving as the CEO of the organization, Ms. Montgomery is the nation’s leading expert and pioneer in human/canine fitness. Her diverse experience in veterinary medicine, public relations, animal rescue, personal training, and her own weight loss journey gave her the perfect combination of skills to create a nationwide community of clubs– dedicated to the health, fitness, wellness and mental wellbeing for people and their dogs.
Montgomery is a determined and focused entrepreneur and nationally recognized human/canine fitness expert. Since company inception, she has led the growth of the company to 45+ locations, overseen operations and business activities, established trust relations, key partners and stakeholders. Prior to K9 Fit Club, Montgomery served as Public Education Director and Executive Director for the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
Montgomery is certified in Power Pilates Core Mat 1, The National Academy of Sports Medicine and American Sports & Fitness Association. Montgomery also serves as a research investigator for Purdue University, Healthy People 2020 and assists with healthy initiatives in communities around the country.
