Tricia Montgomery founded K9 Fit Club® in 2012. Now serving as the CEO of the organization, Ms. Montgomery is the nation’s leading expert and pioneer in human/canine fitness. Her diverse experience in veterinary medicine, public relations, animal rescue, personal training, and her own weight loss journey gave her the perfect combination of skills to create a nationwide community of clubs– dedicated to the health, fitness, wellness and mental wellbeing for people and their dogs.
Montgomery is a determined and focused entrepreneur and nationally recognized human/canine fitness expert. Since company inception, she has led the growth of the company to 45+ locations, overseen operations and business activities, established trust relations, key partners and stakeholders. Prior to K9 Fit Club, Montgomery served as Public Education Director and Executive Director for the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
Montgomery is certified in Power Pilates Core Mat 1, The National Academy of Sports Medicine and American Sports & Fitness Association. Montgomery also serves as a research investigator for Purdue University, Healthy People 2020 and assists with healthy initiatives in communities around the country.
Ms. Montgomery has been featured on the Today Show, USA Today, Dateline News, NPR, MSNBC, Good Morning America, FOX News, Women’s Health, Dog Fancy, Washington Post and AAPA News to mention a few. She is the host of “Sit, Stay & Get Fit”, a weekly fitness show on DirectTV.

An Exercise Physiologist, licensed Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Nutrition Coach, Mandi provides consultative services, evidence-based programming and health promotion events for both corporate and individual engagements. Previous clients include various Fortune 500 companies in the sectors of aviation, insurance, food and beverage and telecommunications.
Her core philosophy towards health and well-being lies within bio-individuality and teaching others how to listen intuitively to their bodies. Her greatest teaching objective is illustrating how each dimension of human wellness is intertwined and how that relates to one’s ability to achieve long-term success. Her specialty areas include athletic performance, weight loss, corrective/mobility-based exercise and holistic nutrition with a focus on gut health and inflammatory conditions.
In her “down time,” Mandi is pursuing her Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Human Performance from Logan University. She is also an ambassador for Morris Animal Foundation and her own charity, Team W.A.G.- Maggie’s Legacy. She loves any opportunity to promote the human-animal bond while educating humans on how to best help their dogs live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives.
Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Beckie is a Registered Veterinary Technician living in Wilmington, NC. She is a 2007 graduate of Central
Carolina Community College. Beckie has had a diverse career including small animal, exotic, large
animal, and mixed animal practices, as well as experience in academia and management.
Beckie is currently Executive Director of 3K9 Working Dogs Inc. a Service Dog training organization; she
enjoys independent veterinary consulting, speaking professionally across the country, and writing for
various veterinary publications. Beckie is a trainer with K9 Fitness in Wilmington, NC and she has
recently joined the team at Buzzwoof as a contributing blogger and has greatly enjoying reaching out of
the veterinary box in participating with these great organizations.
Beckie has served on her state association since 2008 and is proud to have been voted NC Veterinary
Technician of the Year 2015. She serves as Treasurer and Chairperson for the National Association of
Veterinary Technicians in America, and member at large for the Society of Veterinary Medical Ethics.
When she is not working or volunteering her time, Beckie enjoys time at the beach fishing with her
husband Timmy, spending time their 5 dogs and 2 cats, getting out on the water whenever possible, and
quality time with her family whenever possible.

Chicago born Chris Bobowski, 35, is a successful commodities broker at the Chicago Board of Trade with an extensive and diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients.
He is the manager of agriculture derivatives for the world’s largest global broker-dealer.
Chris boxes, enjoys international travel, literature, dining out and dabbles in real estate. He is seldom seen around town without his trusty companion Murphy; a Chow – Shepard mix he rescued.
